New Case Military Skid Steers

M400T on Display at World of Concrete

RACINE, Wis. (Feb. 3, 2009) – Case Construction Equipment will display an M400T military skid steer at its booth (#C5869) this week in Las Vegas. Currently undergoing performance certification, the M400T is among the first wave of new military skid steers to be produced by Case in the second half of 2009 as part of a 10-year, $160 million contract awarded by the U.S. Army TACOM (Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command). The contract calls for more than 1,900 Case skid steers and nearly 1,500 compact track loaders.

In January, Case also received an order to produce an additional 150 armor-ready backhoe loaders (BHLs) in 2009. This new order is part of a five-year contract with the U.S. Army for a total of 626 Case BHLs.

In late 2008, Case delivered its first 50 armored BHLs for the U.S. Army. These units were deployed to Southwest Asia to support military efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Case has three employees in Southwest Asia to provide contractor logistic support to the U.S. Army for the BHLs.

Other current Case contracts with the U.S. Military include refurbishing more than 200 M4K rough-terrain forklifts, and more than 550 MW24C wheel loaders.

For more than 150 years, Case has provided service to the U.S. Military. In the past four years, Case has earned military contracts for more than 5,000 skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders and forklifts.

In addition to the M400T skid steer, the Case booth at World of Concrete 2009 will also feature the 850L crawler dozer, CX210B excavator, CX36B compact excavator, 580 Super M+ loader/backhoe, 450 Series 3 skid steer and 440 Series 3 compact track loader.
