Why would students give up their summer break to complete an internship? Especially when it may be the only break some students can have from school?
To some, it may be to check another box towards graduation or to gain a little experience before entering the workforce. But for those who intern at Titan Machinery, it is so much more.

While the experience may appear similar to other internships on paper, Titan Machinery's internships offer students the ability to experience a wide range of departments, tasks, and opportunities throughout their program. Caleb Jamieson, former Operations intern and current Sales Assistant, says it best: "Regardless of the role, you are given the opportunity to get hands on experience with so many aspects of our business."

Whether students know what they want to do for their career or are just exploring their options, Titan interns are able to find something that interests them while also growing their skills and careers.

Titan Machinery offers internships across a wide range of roles, allowing students to explore different career paths and gain clarity on their future goals. Whether you want to discover what a corporate role includes at our Headquarters in West Fargo, ND, or want to learn what all goes into a dealership at one of our 95+ different stores across 12 states, you can hone the skills you've learned in the classroom and build real-world experience. Interns learn and grow essential skills that might not be taught in a classroom throughout their internship. "My internship helped me build my confidence on the knowledge that I had learned in the classroom, while also building professional soft skills like communication and leadership," says Hannah Kaercher, former HR Intern and current HR Coordinator.

Our interns are able to collaborate with experts in their own area of study and those outside of it, unlocking several paths of knowledge and growth along the way. Titan employees want to help you learn and grow, so no matter what department they are a part of, they're willing to provide information and guidance to any and all interns.

Titan Machinery offers two different types of internships: Corporate Internships and Business of Sales Internships. Both allow students to discover being a part of the agriculture and construction industry, but in unique ways.

Corporate Internships

Supporting our agriculture, construction, and application equipment dealerships behind the scenes are the dedicated individuals housed at our North American Headquarters, the Shared Resource Center (SRC), and our Hutchinson Resource Center (HRC), in Hutchinson, Minnesota. While interns in these roles have a specific department focus, Human Resources, Marketing, Operations, Internal Audit, Accounting, and Finance, they are a part of the heartbeat of Titan, providing customers and other team members with the very best support they can. Projects, collaboration, and skill development are at the core of these internships, providing a solid platform for students to continue their roles into the future.

Business of Sales Internships

At every Titan Machinery dealership, you'll find teams of experts working together to provide our customers with the best-in-class solutions in agriculture, construction, and application. A Business of Sales Intern will gain exposure to all areas of sales while learning alongside the teams of experts to provide those best-in-class solutions to our customers. Mentorship, training, and project-based learning are the framework of this program, and it has a proven knack for developing students who later become customer-driven leaders out in the field.

How is an internship at Titan different than every other internship program?
"It's a fascinating industry to be a part of. There is nothing cooler than to be able to tangibly touch and see the equipment that people service, sell, sell parts for, finance, and trade for," says Ben Chizlett, former Business of Sales Intern and current Retail Sales and Insurance Specialist.

Titan Machinery interns can uniquely experience the products they support, working 40 hours a week throughout the summer. Titan interns are compensated for all their work, including part-time benefits during their internship. In addition, they are able to grow alongside some of the industry's top professionals in one of the industry's leading companies. Many interns at Titan also turn their summer role into a full-blown career. Every individual referenced in this article started as an intern and now works full-time in a position they are passionate about.

We also believe that interns who are given multiple perspectives and avenues to learn from, are challenged and developed alongside industry experts, and provided with a space to find and identify what sparks their fire, develop a desire to learn that becomes lifelong. They are empowered to become the best versions of themselves and truly learn what excites them to come to work every day.
