SALFORD INDEPENDENT BLADE HIGH-SPEED VERTICAL TILLAGE TOOLS

Salford was one of the original innovators of the independently mounted disk/coulter vertical tillage implements. Today, Salford offers a complete line of vertical tillage tools known as the Independent Series, which are designed to size material, fracture the ground, and mix the soil and crop residue to create an ideal seedbed to promote healthy crop development. Salford I-Series vertical tillage tools feature individually mounted coulters attached to a spring coil that is designed to swivel and flex vertically for unmatched protection against hub/blade damage due to hitting obstacles at high operating speeds. For I-4100, I-4200 and 5200 models, concave blades are rubber compression mounted to provide impact protection at field speeds.

Salford I-1100 and I-1200 models feature 20” coulters mounted on 4-bolt hub attached to a 1.25” spring coil with 5” of vertical flex. The I-1100 has 7.5” spacing while the I-1200 has 5” spacing for more aggressive residue sizing. I-2100 (7.5” spacing) and I-2200 (5” spacing) models upgrade to 22” coulters mounted on 5-bolt hubs and 1 5/8” spring coils with 7” of vertical flex. I-4100, I-4200 and the 5200 series are equipped with shallow concave discs rubber compression mounted to 5-bolt hubs. The I-4100 (7.5” spacing) and I-4200 (5” spacing) utilize 1 5/8” spring coils while the 5200 series has standard rigid arms.
