Overview
D Series single vibratory drum rollers offer the highest centrifugal forces and best gradeability on the market. Their innovative design results in a lower center of gravity, reliable drum-to-ground contact and self-adjusting traction that delivers constant compaction and holds true lines on, up and across rough, steep terrain. With an 84-inch drum and 12-ton base operating weight, the 154-hp Tier 4 Final SV212D is ideal for residential, municipal and rental applications.
Features
Purpose-Built Performance
High torque, a low center-of-gravity and smart traction enable the SV212D to climb and compact where others can't. Independent motors power the drum and each wheel and an optional self-adjusting torque control system automatically diverts flow when slippage is detected to minimize drift. Along with the enhanced torque of the HX Hydrostatic Drive, this machine has an industry-leading gradeability of 65% (55% with standard drive). An innovative drum design provides best-in-class centrifugal force and with standard adjustable frequencies and amplitudes, operators can achieve higher lifts in few passes on a wide variety of soil densities. Other design benefits include high curb clearance and a narrow framework, allowing for close, precise operation alongside obstacles.
Common-Sense Fuel Efficiency
The SCR with DPF solution (Selective Catalytic Reduction with Diesel Particulate Filter) is the obvious emissions choice for the SV212D. As an after-treatment solution, SCR lets the engine "breathe" more and provide maximum power and the DPF uses active regeneration to clean the filter as you work, ensuring there's no need to pause operation. It's simple too, just occasionally add DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) and operate as normal.
CASE Comfort & Visibility
The operating platform is isolated from the chassis by shock absorbers to provide a smoother, cushioned ride. If dust, noise and weather are concerns, a pressurized cab option offers ventilation, climate control and radio-ready wiring. An ACE Intelligent Compaction system and printer are also available (w/cab). The adjustable seat swivels 50 degrees providing clear sightlines to the drum edge while still keeping armrest controls in hand, and due to the low-sitting engine, the SV212D also has a very low-profile hood for excellent rear visibility.
Simple Serviceability
An electric-lift engine cover provides quick, ground-level access to fluid ports, drains, service checkpoints and filters. The operator platform also features an electric lift for easy accessibility when necessary.
